Sole benefits

I love trainers that are soft underfoot, lightweight and minimalist, but unfortunately, because  I run like a zombie on speed, I’m forced to have these rock hard, clumpy structured trainers. So when I was given the opportunity to try out Sole‘s Softec Response Footbeds I jumped at the chance (or whatever zombies do). Tailored insoles mean I can wear trainer of dreams! Yay!

What I love about these insoles is that you can mold them to fit your own feet. I’ve tried insoles before, but they haven’t worked for me because they are far too generic.

All you do is slip out your insoles from your ordinary trainers, snip the Sole insoles to fit (if needed – they come in trainer sizes), pop them in the oven (on its lowest heat for a couple of minutes), slip them back in your trainers and then stand in them for a couple of minutes to mold them to your foot shape.

I’ve tried them out on a little run and they feel really comfortable. I’ll let you know how I get on with them after giving them a good trial at the Beachy Head 10k on Saturday.

  1. Ooooh I like the idea of these the molding to your feet sounds like an interesting idea – I have the issue with zombieness too although my zombie is much more slow and lumbering than yours 😉
Interested to see how you get on
