I started exercising again this week after a long hiatus (3 months in total). It’s always hard getting back into it I find, especially as I was so fit before. I started with level 1 of the 30-day shred (I really don’t remember it being as hard as it felt!) and today decided to have a go at running.
I wasn’t interested in times or my pace, I just wanted to see if my legs still knew how to run, and run over a distance. I worked out a 4k route and decided that, depending on how I felt, I could do 2 laps. Well, my legs felt good and I felt pretty good so I ended up doing 8k in 47 minutes. I’m pretty pleased with myself as I know after a few weeks I’ll be back to my old self in no time.
