So yesterday was a bit of a washout exercise wise. I managed a few bicep curls and jogging on the stop whilst the kettle was boiling (something I do to kill time, sounds nuts I know!), but that was it.
I well and truly made up for it today though. I got a new 5k PB by almost a minute this morning at Parkrun and I was so psyched after that that I did Jillian Michaels’ six week six pack, which is a mixture of planks, ab-related cardio (mountain climbers, plank jacks), and sit ups, and Davina’s body buff arm workout, which is a great if you only have 10 minutes free. One thing I noticed today is that for Davina’s more static arm workout, my 2.5 kg hand weights (5 lbs) feel a little light and I could probably do with 3-4 kg (6-8 lbs), whereas for Jillian’s 30-day shred, I wish I had 1.5 kg (3 lb) weights as it’s more a mixture of cardio and strength, and zaps your energy much more.
